My backyard is the next relaxing creative space for me. Whether it’s sitting on the top deck, or in my ‘special area’ in the yard, I am completely relaxed with the light and sounds of the birds chirping.

I have always wanted to be an author. However, I never thought I would be writing children’s books. Being in the legal field with two children, I kept putting my writing on hold. After 15 years in legal, I started a blog with my sister and daughter. The blog took a life of its own and I started hosting children’s events to empower young children (I Love ME!).

Seeing the positive reactions after each event became encouragement to keep moving forward. I also noticed the excitement the kids had of seeing images that they could relate to and it encouraged me to begin writing the “I Love ME!” Book Series.

I still love my corporate job and some days wonder how I do it all, but my mother has been an extraordinary help for my events and publishing. It helps me tremendously having her as my support system.
