Remembrance Day - A New Way to Remember POPPY REDESIGN The Poppy - Made of recyclable biodegradable material with poppy seeds inside. The Exhibit - Anna Leonowens Gallery - Halifax A New Way to Remember, was an exhibit that I along side two other designers came up with to redesign the poppy and its experience. The red portion of the poppy is now made from an organic dyed paper pulp, this is a new way of showing respect to the earth as our product can now decompose. To illustrate life, we have imbedded poppy seeds into the paper pulp. This seed paper will be planted each November and add beauty to the world around us. The poppy is made from an organic dyed paper pulp mixed with poppy seeds and pressed into molds, giving it the same appearance as the original plastic poppy.
