TRAIL /// Ultra Trail Los Nevados SPORTS AND LOGISTICAL VICTORY Competitors from: Costa Rica, United States, Britain, France, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Chile, Poland and Colombia attended this big sporting event. Local runners themselves, who are used to races in their country, cataloged the UTPLN as a competition like no other. This follows from the statements of Diego Medina, second in the 18 to 35 years category at a distance of 25 km.: "In the 12 years I've been running I had not seen such good attention and support to athletes, from the time of the welcoming until the end. The race is excellent; we passed badlands edged with snow and altitudes up to 4800 masl. which is the most difficult stage due to the lack of oxygen. The logistics and organization were perfect, as well as the hydration and nutrition stations." The official sponsor of the UTPLN was Compressport-Colombia, cosponsored by BUUF, Petzl, Salomon, Julbo, Patagonia, Gatorade, Going, Be Fruit, Paracord Colombia and La Sportiva. Also collaborated XVII Week of Mountain and Speleology, the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Manizales (OVSM), Aventura Inteligente, the ECOANDES Foundation and Ultratrails.com. Colombian and foreign media were also present. The next date for the ULTRA TRAIL Parque Los Nevados, certified as an active member of the International Association of Trail Running (ITRA) and qualifying career for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc ®, will be on August 15th, 2015, probably with the assistance of great representatives of this sports activity which is becoming more popular everyday around world.• Geo Adventure Magazine 59
