college education you may be thinking about; I’m talking about learning from those who have already made it big in the world you’re trying to get into; a mentor.
I went the first round all by myself, thinking I could keep all the money and make my wealth faster if I didn’t have others slowing me down. Boy that was stupid. If you’re my age and watched “duck tales” years ago, what did Uncle Scrooge always say; “work smarter, not harder”. I didn’t and it got me in the end. I learned the hard way, sharing the wealth to those who know the job better is a great way to keep you free to work your magic, which creates more wealth.
Surrounding yourself with smarter like-minded people brings new ideas to the table, teaches what they did wrong, and spreads the work around so no one gets burned out.
Remember, you’re an entrepreneur, not a laborer. You’re a problem solver; learn how to solve problems and the clients will beat a path to your door. The rich get rich because they network and listen and then they use what they learn from those smarter than them. The most dangerous person is the one that sits in the corner quietly and listens.
I since reworked my personal credit, built a corporation, and bought more houses that are producing three times the amount that my first ones produced. I study every day about business structure as much as I do about my investing strategies. I don’t dip into the business funds more than my company policy allows and things are looking much better.
Spend a day every week studying your market and business structure and you’ll find yourself not working so hard later.
