Overnight Trip - Starved Rock
Popular advice columnist Ann Landers had a life which
seemed letter-perfect. With more than 90 million readers
each day, she had a quick wit which could be comical and
creative, as well as sharp and shocking, all in the same
sentence. The play unfolds in Landers Lakeshore Drive
apartment in Chicago in 1975 where she shares some of her
most fascinating stories as she prepares to write the most
difficult column of her career. Pieces of Ann’s memorabilia
will be on display in the lobby and art gallery. Trip includes

Cuneo Mansion and Gardens
Tour the Italianate style Cuneo Mansion and Gardens. It
dates to 1914, is set in a beautiful 100-acre estate, and
was the home of Samuel Insull, an original founder of the
General Electric Company. Its gardens and landscaping
were designed by world-renowned landscape architect Jens
Jensen. Be amazed at the museum’s extensive collection of
art and furnishings. Lunch on your own at Cafe Pomigiano or
visit the local Farmer’s Market. Finish the day with the Ansel
B. Cook House, an 1878 Victorian house museum on the
National Register of Historic Places. Each room is filled with
furniture and artifacts of the era. Trip includes transportation and
