Boost your balance, mobility, and joint range
of motion with this class that will incorporate
some seated and some standing exercise, along
with light hand weights, bands, and a portion
focused on core and balance while walking.

Exercising with Parkinson's
Ages 60 & older

In this specially designed Parkinson’s
and Movement Disorder class, clients are
encouraged to amplify their movements in
several specific movement patterns to improve
strength, endurance, balance, respiration,
mobility/gait and trunk rotation. Exercises may
be performed seated or standing. Agility gait
exercises are also often included in the program
to promote more high level balance training
and reduce risk of falls. Our certified fitness
instructors have participated in training from
Northwestern Medicine to provide a safe and
appropriate workout to participants. Participants
may bring someone to assist them if they have significant
