Playhouse 38 By Lucy Williams Directed by Meredith Vandre There’s something for everyone in this one-act holiday delight made up of short scenes and monologues. You’ll find everything here, from kids writing letters to Santa, to the big guy getting ready for Christmas himself, to a bunch of elves who accidentally rip Santa’s gift bag at the last minute. (Don’t worry, Mrs. Claus can fix it!) There’s a sports segment featuring the 845th annual Reindeer Games and a holiday quiz show featuring Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and the Ghost of Christmas Future. A soap opera, As the North Pole Turns, a news segment from the North Pole News, and some Christmas-themed commercials round out this fun seasonal comedy. AUDITION & REHEARSAL INFORMATION Audition Information Youth auditions are for ages 7-17. Everyone who auditions will get cast. October 27 from 6:30-8:30pm and October 29 from 6:30-8:30pm Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue and be prepared to read from the script. Call 630-232-4542 to schedule your audition today! Rehearsals Begin the week of November 2 and are scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays - (6:30-8:30pm) and Saturdays - (3:00-5:00pm).
