Survival of these knots requires that they
have densities much larger (factors of 103 or
greater) than the ambient medium through
which they propagate. Numerical simulations reproduce the overall structure and
kinematics of a moving knot. The authors
suggest that stellar merger events could
produce such outflows, while ejecting massive stars from their birthplaces
