Climate Change and Energy
One of the biggest problems facing the world in the 21st century is the secure supply of
energy. Today, the way countries produce and use energy is not sustainable. The most
obvious proof of this is human climate change. In the world, where energy consumption
increased by 40% between 1990 and 2008, 80% of energy is fossil-derived. Dependence on
fossil fuels creates a burden on the economy as well as the accumulation of greenhouse gases
that cause climate change in the atmosphere. We need to keep global warming below 1.5
degrees in order to prevent irreversible consequences for climate change for both humanity
and our planet.
Climate Change
As a result of the impact of human activities in the atmosphere, global average temperatures
increase.
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
WWF's goal is to achieve a global transition to 100% renewable energy in 2050. The road to
this goal is through the dissemination of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy
sources.
Combating Climate Change and Business
Businesses can fulfill their demands for energy and other natural resources at every stage,
especially in their supply chains and production processes, and therefore each component of
their ecological footprint within the limits set by the principle of sustainability.
