transportation of vehicles. You are asked to draw prototypes for the construction of
this bridge and to design a bridge with the desired criteria.
The presentation of the bridge, bridge construction and bridge types are reflected with
an interactive board while the students are brainstorming on the following topics:
• What is the bridge, what is it used for?
* Which needs should be considered for bridges to be durable?
• Who designs these bridges and why?
Students are divided into groups (maximum 4 persons). Students are asked to model
virtual bridges through Cargo Bridge on the web platform and Bridge builder
applications on the mobile platform, resulting in a game-based event. These platforms
need to design robust bridges at minimum cost to solve different problems.

The importance of girders is mentioned in order for bridges to be intact. It is
especially focused on triangular girder bridges. The video, previously shared with
students and talking about the durability of triangular structures, is shown again in the
classroom. How triangular beams affect bridge design and the load they can carry are
discussed with students.
Then student groups are asked to design a bridge with the appropriate criteria to solve
the problem in the story. Student groups design bridges from pastas for the problem
