Introduction
To get the attention of the studens, questions like “When you were going from home to
your school, have you ever examined the way the cars park?” and “Have you ever
thought if there is a connection between the way they park and the number of cars
parked?” are used. The most important difference between the maths we see in the
school and these kind of problems are that the way to solve this problems are unknown
before the problem is presented and they need a spesific strategy and a solution
process. Taking this as account, skills like reasoning, use of graphics, interpretation,
trigonometry, derivativation and applications of integrals are used to find a way to
solve these problems. Using mathematical modelling daily life problems are solved.

publications, 2016)
With the information above given the question “To get the most cars parked on the
sides of a road, in what angle the cars should be parked?” is presented to make the
students discuss about the topic.
