To the X-Men, Hope is the physical representation of her name – the last hope for a mutant race on the brink of extinction. For the Avengers, she is a deadly threat: a teenage girl souped up with an unstoppable godlike entity could destroy the planet Earth, and every living thing on it – both human and mutant alike. Avengers vs. X-Men, the twelvepart comic book summer event, nears the end of its first act with issue five this month.
