(Interview with Wiglaf continued)
"And I know that I also have to run Geatland and provide a decent life for my family." His last statement was a complete shock to me. I never knew he had a family. "Family? Wiglaf you have a family?" I asked him with still in shock. "Yes, I do. I had to have an heir to my throne. I have a son, William and a daughter, Willow. Also, my beautiful wife Pauline."
So it seemed as though he was doing fine after our greatest warrior, Beowulf died. But as I sat with him his runner, Michele kept giving him massages with led me to the next topic of conversation: running Geatland.
"So, Wiglaf how has it been running Geatland all by yourself?" I asked him. He put on a thinking face then answered "It is actually very easy due to the fact that Beowulf and Hrothgar taught me everything I needed to know before I took the position. "
During this interview I had become more and more interested in our king and the interview could have gone on longer, but King Wiglaf had had too much to drink. But before I left, I was able to get him to promise me another interview to finish what we had started.
