90-Year-Old Gym Member Shows What Dedication and Motivation Really Look Like
Time, money, courage and age are some of the many things that may stop people from signing up for a gym membership, but with the help of the Judgement Free Zone ®, none of that matters for 90-year-old gym member Dot Mizerak.
After her workout spot of 13 years, Curves, shuttered its doors in 2016, Mizerak found her way to Planet Fitness ®. Mizerak has always come into the gym with a positive attitude and a smile on her face, and although Mizerak is normally

Mizerak can be found in the club Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays doing a 45-minute, full-body workout that consists of 20-pound leg presses, 30-pound lateral pull-downs, 15-pound bicep curls and then some time on a bicycle. Mizerak often works out with her friend, Sadie Blanchfield, 74, who she met at Curves. Staff members at Planet Fitness describe Mizerak as kind, motivated and strong. Qualities you can see radiating from her when she’ s at the gym.
