In 2005, after five years in a corporate club, Dricker saw how quickly Planet Fitness was growing and made the switch to club owner.
“ I saw the company grow from four privately owned New Hampshire clubs to a franchised company with clubs regularly opening across the country. It was an exciting time for Planet Fitness, and I felt blessed to be a part of it and see it grow from an unknown in New Hampshire to seeing PF bumper stickers on cars all throughout New England, New York and Florida,” she said.
The excitement surrounding Planet Fitness and its franchisees drove John Craig to join the franchisee network in 2011 after five years at PFHQ. Working in Brand Development, Craig handled public relations, marketing, and internal and external communications at the corporate level.
“ The genuine excitement I saw in Planet Fitness franchisees was contagious. I always loved hearing their stories about the challenges they faced starting out in the business, and was struck by how proud and grateful many of them were to be Planet Fitness franchisees,” said Craig, whose Great Hill Management operates four clubs in Georgia and South Carolina.
While the“ entrepreneurial fervor that gripped the place” and the resources of PFHQ made the job in corporate lively, the challenges and atmosphere of small business bring satisfaction at the franchisee level.

After two years as a club manager for a corporate location, Tim Morrissette joined Alder Partners LLC in 2012. Now a regional manager for the organization’ s 14 clubs in Massachusetts and Georgia, Morrissette appreciates the environment at the franchisee level.
