F Louisville, LLC officially partnered
with the iconic Churchill Downs
Racetrack to provide Churchill Downs
jockeys a completely renovated on-track
fitness facility and free memberships to
Planet Fitness at Central Station. The
announcement of the partnership was
released the Tuesday before the 2015
Kentucky Derby.
The fitness facility, which is located in
the jockeys’ room of the racetrack, is called
the Jockey Fitness Club and includes stateof-the-art cardio and strength equipment
identical to that found in eight Louisville,
Southern Indiana and Elizabethtown
Planet Fitness clubs. The only remaining
piece of equipment from the old fitness
center is the Equicizer™, a mechanical
horse that simulates riding, which was
redressed with a PF saddlecloth to add to
the Planet Fitness feel.
The Planet Fitness Louisville Central
Station location opened January 2015
and sits approximately two blocks away
from the historic track. The partnership
between the two companies was brought
forth when Churchill Downs Racetrack
President Kevin Flanery approached PF
Louisville CEO, Rick Keuber, regarding the
renovation of the jockey’s fitness area, as
well as developing a relationship between
