The first half of March 2020 feels like a lifetime ago . Our clubs were growing , reequips and new locations were being planned and management teams were being trained . Since then , the new reality of closures , retrainings and reopenings have been the new normal . Upgraded processes , policies and a new focus on PF ® culture have forced us to reevaluate what operating a fitness facility looks like . While those first months spent rewriting our playbooks and engaging our local elected officials on which guidelines would help us to reopen were productive , I do not think that any of us knew just how much work we would have to do to “ sell ” the importance of our services

to local and state governments to get and stay reopened . Proving that we are a safe , healthy environment that benefits the general public has been difficult , distressing and , where those efforts were successful , very rewarding for the individual emotionally .
While some states allowed reopening relatively quickly , there are other states that remain closed , with very little but legal fights in the near future . It is becoming increasingly difficult to move forward as a brand when , as a brand , we are being made more and more disjointed from governmental influence and new rules and regulations to follow . We should remain confident that those outside hurdles will be met . We are all committed

to making the best member experience in the business , even where those new procedures look and feel by Brian Cassagio different to our members . Planet Fitness ® began using the phrase “ Remember the member ” in mid-2019 , and today , it has become even more important .
By now , we have all recognized that there are factors to a successful reopen that go beyond just getting the doors open and members back to working out . We are all familiar with the new procedures that our management and staff are following . Enhanced cleanliness , new sanitation
