The Royal Society of Beastologists
is on the hunt for a fearsome,
never-before-seen beast. They’ve
already photographed the Loch
Ness Monster, the Beast of
Bodmin and the elusive Essex
Lion.
But will this final mystery prove
too much? Tents have been
pitched, the beast band are
tuning up and binoculars are
being polished. Get ready for a
thrilling, comedic and dangerous
hunt.

A woman sits on a bench and
watches the world pass by. And
what a world it is! Bench is an
acrobatic performance about the
dance of life and the theatre in
the everyday action around us.
Brides and bag ladies, fitness
freaks and fantastic fantasies
form a cavalcade of comedy,
tragedy and poignancy, reflecting
on who we are and how we
interconnect.
“They climb up, balance
on, vault over and plummet
alongside one another with
ease, marked by a simple but
emotionally delicate charm”

Birdwatching 4X4 invites you to
sit inside a mobile observation
box on an investigative adventure
through public space. Flemish
choreographer Benjamin
Vandewalle invites you to explore
the world anew from your peep
hole inside this most unusual
theatre, offering an intimate view
of the city around you.
The combination of your roving
view point and a mirrored wall
(which is moved by the dancers)
creates a poetic interplay between
reality and optical illusion,
whilst performers and members
of the public move in and out
of an ever-changing picture as
the everyday blends with staged
performance.
