Large amounts of methane gas are known to exist below the ocean floor in the form of methane hydrates. If such gas finds its way out and starts rising through the water, it can significantly reduce the density of water in that area. And ships passing over can sink in no time. Such gas release can also create explosions & saturate the atmosphere with methane gas causing planes to crash.
Scientists have noticed formation of strange hexagonal shaped clouds on the Bermuda Triangle. This is a rare phenomenon which is more like air bombs. When these bombs blast, they send out winds to the ocean beneath at a speed of 170 mph and this can be dangerous for aircrafts or ships passing by. They also result in extra high waves which are extremely dangerous.
