Communication
Communication
• Effective communication between parents and the staff is very important and one of the keystones to caring for and working
Newsletters:
Are published each term and contain information about coming events, administration news, programme details and other interesting information.
Newsletters are available on the shelf above your child’ s locker.
Newsletters are also emailed through KindyHub.
We use KindyHub communication services to regularly contact our families, this will arrive as an email and will cover any issues or events that we think you need to be aware of.
KindyHub also provides our families with a quick and easy way to communicate with our team. You ca advise if your child is going to be away, is sick or has some special news. Our staff will respond as soon as is practical to do so.
We also have a website for the organisation and this has information about both early childhood services and also provides access to all of our policies and protocols.
You can download copies of parent handbooks, policies, and a variety of other resources that we think might help as you raise your children.

Facebook
We also have a facebook page and this is used to advise of Centre happenings as well. Note we do not publish children’ s photos to this page.
To find us on Facebook look for GriffithCentralPreschool or Dotwaidecentre
Daily Journal
This emailed out each day as part of our KindyHub program. It contains highlights from our day, what was interesting the children and what we might know that is new.
The daily diary is the programme in action.
Telephone
You are welcome to telephone at any time to see how your child is progressing.
Just a chat
We all like having a chat and there will be plenty of opportunity to talk informally about what is happening with your child. Informal chats are good at the end of the day – but remember, we still have to supervise the other children as well. If you need the staff member or Nominated Supervisor full concentration, then arranging a set time during the day is better.
Office Hours:
Both services offer different hours for Administration support, details of office hours are listed at the service. with your children. because it is so important there are a number of ways that we provide and gather information.
Committee Meetings:
Griffith Child Care Centre Inc is managed as an Incorporated Association by a Board of seven community representatives.
Parents are always welcome to come along to the monthly meetings and to participate in the management process.
Parents are encouraged to join the Association- this allows them voting rights at Annual General Meetings etc. There is a $ 1 joining fee and a $ 2 annual membership fee payable.
Please contact the Manager for dates of the meetings.
Our AGM is held in March of each year.
Our Organisation belongs to CCSA( Community Connections Solutions Australia). This is an early childhood, community management, employer support organisation, providing management, award information, industrial support and information.
It is also an important lobbyist on behalf of families in rural NSW, representing over 600 countrybased children’ s services.
