Do you remember how summers felt when you were a kid? If you were like me you didn’t think much about it ― you just enjoyed it; making the most of long seasonal days, squeezing out every moment of daylight possible until Mom called out, “It’s time to come in.” In some ways this is a fitting metaphor for us at Grace Church. There are times we live our Christian lives like children trying to squeeze every moment of enjoyment from a summer’s night. It’s about us.

We're at a crossraods.

You’ve heard us say many times that we didn’t launch Grace Church because Sumner County needed another “church.” We started Grace Church to be a church that lives missionally; a church ready to use it gifts and talents to serve the Kingdom.

Nor did we launch Grace Church so we could gather as a church each week on our Hendersonville and Gallatin campuses to worship and praise God; we started Grace Church so we could gather to be the church.

At Grace Church, we’re living reminders that God accepts and embraces us in the middle

Better Together

Series concludes June 15

Life is not meant to be lived alone.

of our messy lives, offering unconditional love and forgiveness. We’re recipients of a grace that cannot be earned because God gives it freely. And when we walk out the door, we continue to be the hands and feet of God as Grace Church, multiplying His message of salvation in a world that’s literally lost without Him.

We’re the church.

I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about the future of Grace Church as I am right now. Our new sermon series ekklēsia: Blueprint of the Church, begins on August 17 and I believe God is going to use it to reinforce who we are as a church and encourage us to become all He has purposed us to be.

Will you be the Church? Right now we have a great need for folks to step up and become a part of our volunteer ministry. How is God asking you to use your gifts and talents? Would you email me at [email protected] and let me know if you can help?
