With New Year’s Resolutions around the corner - this will also keep your waistline at bay. There are many things we do every day out of habit. Things we mindlessly go through to create a life for ourselves and our family. But what are the two easiest things we can do for ourselves? What are the two biggest things that can have the greatest impact on our health? Many of us know someone affected by: diabetes, cancer, heart disease, stroke and/or obesity. Many of these problems are dictated by lifestyle choices. Lifestyle actions we can take today that proactively move us away from sickness and toward health. Number two - keep it simple and walk everywhere. Walking 30 minutes 5 days per week can prevent 9/10 cases of type 2 diabetes and obesity. It can prevent over half of most cancers. On top of that it will keep your energy high for the road. We all forget once in a while. We forget the laundry in the washer, we forget the fuel card at the pump, or we might forget to apply the air brake! Oops! Number one - processed carbohydrate.
