A NATION AT ODDS It seems that we are a nation divided - when it comes to procrastination that is! Procrastination bites in different ways and for varying lenghts of time from Wales to Scotland, North to South, and from East to West. PROCRASTI Total average time spent procrastinating per day by region NORTH VERSUS SOUTH: THE AGE OLD DIVIDE The verdict is in and our research has found that Northerners are more prone to procrastinate than Southerners. A higher percentage of Northerners admit to procrastinating in relation to their work, improving their health and fitness and investing more time into romantic relationships. So if you’re looking for romance, for someone who works hard or is in the peak of health lookout for a Southerner! SCOTLAND 245 MINUTES PROCRASTINATING 212 MINUTES THE BIG SMOKE (AND MIRRORS) Londoners are amongst the most prolific personal finance procrastinators, with three in ten (28%) admitting they procrastinate over managing their finances. Instead of seizing the day, the average Londoner wastes 18 minutes a day procrastinating over their personal appearance. Seemingly Londoners would rather look a million dollars than save it! That said, those from the North also appear more willing to make necessary changes to improve their financial well-being, with half (48%) saying they would like to use price comparison websites to save money, four in ten (39%) cutting down on the amount spent on meals and drinks and one in five (18%) saying they would walk or cycle to work instead of paying for transport.
