Comic Con Museum in Balboa Park features a new exhibit of the magical world of animation through The Animation Academy : From Pencils to Pixels . The many interactive stations in this exhibition provide opportunities for visitors to create and experiment . Explore animation and storytelling , from traditional handdrawn cels to exciting breakthroughs in stop-motion and CGI . The exhibit features over 20 interactive stations , focused on everything from SpongeBob SquarePants , The Simpsons , and beyond . The grand opening celebration had many museum members , supporters and VIP – including the voice of Walt Disney ’ s Goofy , Bill Farmer !
