As Spring arrives in San Diego , Balboa Park is poised to become a site for unlimited photo opportunities during this year ’ s Cherry Blossom Festival . From March 10- 12 , festivalgoers can experience all aspects of Japanese culture from Kamishibai theater to more than 200 cherry trees spread over the grounds of the Japanese Friendship Garden .

Padres Pedal the Cause returns on March 18 , 2023 as an in-person fundraising event with cycling distances and a 5k walk / run starting and finishing at Petco Park in downtown San Diego . All events are centered around the non-profit ’ s mission of finding cures for cancer . 100 percent of the funds raised will go directly to local cancer research .

Networking Meets Opera Elegance
Enjoy a night of networking with leaders of San Diego ’ s Life Sciences industry and opera on March 28th at the 2023 Life Sciences Night at Opera . The evening will feature San Diego Opera ’ s production of Giacomo Puccini ’ s Tosca . Luna Dawn Berry , an advocate for girls and women in STEM professions , will be the guest speaker .
