California Schools VEBA
is a 501c ( 9 ) non-profit trust that delivers high quality , affordable and accessible health care for education , municipal and public agency employees , serving more than 65 participating employers and over 150,000 members throughout Southern California .
As a longtime believer in a holistic health care approach , VEBA knows there is a better way to provide care to members and sought to do just that with the launch of the VEBA Resource Center ( VRC ) in early 2019 . The VRC provides VEBA members with access to resources that aid in their mental , emotional , physical and social health . These resources include acupuncture and acupressure , meditation , yoga , group counseling , healthy cooking classes , financial workshops and more ! The VRC provides support and encouragement without judgement . And the best part is , it is all free to VEBA members .
Throughout COVID-19 , the VRC has been dedicated to ensuring that the mental and physical well-being of the education and public service community was supported , quickly adjusting to a virtual environment to allow VEBA members to access much needed resources from the comfort of their own home - allowing for a flexible and accessible option for members to access services . So , while the VRC looks forward to re-opening in-person services soon , providing virtual care as an option is here to stay .
The VRC will continue to meet members where they are - focusing on rolling out equitable and timely mental health and well-being resources to ensure that members have access to what they need , when they need it , and where they need it - whether that be in person , virtually or both .
