The credit union is driving positive social impact throughout San Diego , and 2022 marked an incredible year of these efforts .
Mission Fed became the first credit union in San Diego County to receive the Juntos Avanzamos “ Together We Advance ” designation , a distinction that acknowledges its on-going commitment to serving and empowering Hispanic consumers . Juntos Avanzamos is a financial inclusion initiative managed by Inclusiv , an organization dedicated to helping low- and moderate-income communities reach financial security through credit unions . Mission Fed is proud to help its members ‘ move forward together ’ with financial empowerment tools that improve their lives .
In partnership with the Alzheimer ’ s Association San Diego / Imperial Chapter , Mission Fed recognized June as Alzheimer ’ s & Brain Awareness Month . On behalf of its members , employees and volunteer board of directors , Mission Fed donated $ 10,000 and assisted with inkind media awareness efforts to help the Alzheimer ’ s Association raise another $ 15,000 .
