After 34 years of service , International Relief Teams ’ founder and Executive Director , Barry La Forgia is retiring . At their gala they paid tribute to Barry ’ s relentless commitment to the mission of alleviating suffering caused by poverty and disaster around the globe . Guests enjoyed an extraordinary night of celebration and well-deserved recognition in honor of Barry ’ s life work . All funds raised for the Gala will be used to support the Medicines for Children Program , providing healing to impoverished children and families around the world .
