The Directors of the Institute of the Americas invited the supporters to celebrate their 40th Anniversary Gala . Lomas Santa Fe Country Club opened its doors to host the dinner which featured The Honorable Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Leon , the former President of Mexico . For 40 years , the Institute of the Americas has promoted sound public policy and fostered cooperation between public and private sector stakeholders across the hemisphere .
