SAN DIEGO ’ S PREMIER TRANSPORTATION DESTINATION
As the CEO of the San Diego Automotive Museum™ , I ’ m excited to host San Diego ’ s automotive enthusiasts at our 2nd signature event , THE Party in the Park … Vroom ! on October 8th . First and foremost , I want to thank Papa Doug Manchester and the Manchester Family for granting us the opportunity to honor them for their commitment to our community .
I honestly couldn ’ t host such a fantastic party without the help of the Vroom ! Co-Chairs : Reena Horowitz , Jeanne Jones , and Stephanie Brown . These three are a powerful force , and I ’ m thankful for their support , friendship , and vision in transforming this event into an extraordinary experience .

My favorite part of the event is celebrating the current year ’ s accomplishments , and 2022 was a monumental year for the San Diego Automotive Museum™ , San Diego ’ s Premier Transportation Museum™ .
The 2,700 sqft . Automotive Library renovation is now entirely funded , the Vocational Education Academy launched six months ahead of schedule , the expansion is breaking ground in three years ( one year earlier than expected ), and we established our planned giving program . The Children ’ s Corner will reopen in August with hands-on automotive education activities .
We cannot do it alone . The Manchesters , co-chairs , sponsors , and committees understand the importance of this event and how crucial it is to raise money for the Museum . It helps us build a world-class destination for community members to bring their families for an immersive experience in the auto transportation world while enjoying quality time together . THE Party is essential for the stability of the Museum and the automobile ’ s legacy , and I ’ m excited to celebrate with our guests . Hope to see you there !
