The 10th Anniversary Be the Light Gala , an evening of celebration and continued impact , features musical entertainment , small bites and dinner , event swag bags , moving testimonials from veteran recipients . All proceeds from the event will benefit Shelter to Soldier ’ s programs serving military , veterans , and homeless dogs .

On August 20 , the 26th annual Symphony at Salk is a spectacular evening under the stars featuring guest artist Ben Platt . The evening is attended by Salk supporters who comprise San Diego ’ s most prominent leaders in science , philanthropy , government , media and industry . Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner on the courtyard amidst Louis Kahn ’ s masterwork of modern architecture .

There ’ s nothing sour about the Third Avenue Village Association ’ s Lemon Festival which transforms downtown Chula Vista into a lemon-filled oasis .
