Once a year , on a starlit night , Patrons of the Prado hosts the most anticipated summertime fundraiser , the MASTERPIECE Gala . This year , the adventure is going beyond the stars and " OUT OF THIS WORLD ." Held on Saturday , July 8 , 2023 , attendees will DISCOVER THE ARTS , SCIENCES AND BEYOND !
It will be an unforgettable voyage to new galaxies , and interstellar explorations at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion , as guests celebrate San Diego ’ s beloved Balboa Park , and those who devote themselves to preserving the Prado ’ s legacy as a center for art , theatre , science and history .

The Patrons of the Prado Icon Award recognizes the contributions of individual and organizational trailblazers who are dedicated to enriching and advancing the vitality and economy of the arts , science and culture of our ten Balboa Park beneficiary institutions and the San Diego community .
