Committee of �00 and the City of San Diego , the exterior of the museum has been painted , and a generous SDAM volunteer , Mr . Brock , funded a lift that allows guests to access the second fl oor of the museum . The entryway into the museum was reconfi gured , the store got a facelift , and thanks to a generous donation from Discount Tires , the museum has new fl ooring . Currently the Committee of �00 is installing replica tiles of the original ��32 murals on the front of the building .
As the San Diego Automotive Museum fi nishes putting up new vignettes for the guests to enjoy , the staff are hopeful once more . The staff of the SDAM have longed to have guests back at the museum and with many people getting their C�VID vaccine and the County beginning to shift into a tier that allows the museum to open , there is light on the horizon .
Lenny Leszczynski , SDAM CE� shared with �B Magazine , �This pandemic has forced the SDAM to reevaluate and reimagine itself . Since we lost almost 80� of our revenue stream , we have had to get creative and adapt to the change . The SDAM will emerge from this pandemic better than it has ever been . � �ver the course of the last year not only has the SDAM made physical changes , but also has built and rekindled relationships in the automotive community . Thanks to the support of companies like Precious Metals Fine Motorcars of San Diego , �ing Aminpour , � ’ �ara , �heelhouse Credit �nion , Sycuan , �B Magazine , �BA Speed Shop , and Carl Burger Dodge , Chrysler , �eep , and �am the San Diego Automotive Museum has been able to make it through the pandemic .
The San Diego Automotive Museum has changed a lot this past year , and with that change comes new cars to share with guests . �uests will be able to enjoy seeing the only ���5 Hydrogen Cobra , the world ’ s fi rst Hybrid Supercar that did the 0 to �0 in 3 . � seconds with zero emissions . For the fi rst time the museum will be displaying a ��2� Pierce Arrow that was donated to the museum in December , and many other great cars and motorcycles . In addition to the vehicles , there is a section of the museum designated to vehicle art created by local artists . The SDAM will be hosting several small events over the next few months , taking C�VID precautions and following CDC guidelines .
