California Schools VEBA ENSURING ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE

California Schools VEBA is a non-profit health care trust that delivers high quality , affordable and accessible health care for education , municipal and public agency employees . Formed in 3 through the combined efforts of school superintendents and school labor leaders , VEBA currently serves more than 65 participating employers and over 50,000 members throughout Southern California . VEBA ’ s volunteer Board of Directors is comprised of school management and labor leaders , whose selfless dedication has resulted in saving more than $ 200 million in health care costs for participating employers .

VEBA believes health care is not a one-size-fits-all and expanded on its long-standing commitment of supporting education and public sector members through the launch of the VEBA esource Center ( VC ) in 20 . Through a holistic and proactive approach , the VRC helps members assess , identify and remove barriers to achieving optimal health . By helping each member become an effective advocate for their own well-being , VEBA provides quality health care for its members and lower costs for their employers .
Through the VRC , members have access to resources that can aid in improving mental , emotional , physical and social health . A team of Licensed Health Care Providers and Well-being Coaches empower members as they develop an integrated and personalized health improvement plan . By closing the gaps in the existing health and well-being system , VEBA ensures all members have access to equitable and high-quality care .
