How to make a stop motion
Stop Motion Animation is the art where you create a scene, take a still picture, move the scene again,
take another picture and continue the process. When you have taken all the pictures, you speed them and
it will look like they are moving on their own.
Stop motion is simple and difficult to make. Easy because it is simple to understand and Hard because
you need to make sure that you haven't made the person move too little or too much.
Stop motion is hard to master and only practice will make you better. Try to experiment and use different
camera angle. Try to
not use only Lego, or only clay. Try to get used to using different materials.
Method:
* Create a scene made out of a material of your choice such as Lego or clay.
* Get a good quality camera and place it on a tri-pod (a tri-pod is a special stand for cameras)
* Take a still picture.
* Move the scene just a little bit.
* Take another still picture.
* Continue the process.
Technical Stuff
Once you have taken all of your pictures connect your camera to a computer. To do the next step you
need to download some software. Windows Movie Maker is a good program to use. Go download it now
for free. Once you have installed it, enter the programme
Once you have entered it do the following
* Click "import pictures"
* Select the pictures you want
* Click open
* Select them again and drag them into the boxes at the bottom
* Click on the microphone icon if you want speech in your stop motion
* Click begin and start talking
