Jumeirah, is 50% bigger. This island will house the Sea
Village, a water park. Palm Deira is the largest of the
three islands with 41 palms and an area of 80 km²

Burj El-Arab, the seven-star
hotel
Emblematic symbol of a modern and luxurious Dubaï,
the Burj El-Arab dominates the landscape with its
sailing boat-shaped design. It is one of the most visited
touristic monuments in the city. Located on an artificial
island near Jumeirah, the hotel seems to have emerged
from the water. Its majestic structure rises 321 metres
above sea level. Ultimate symbol of the luxury hotel, it
is the only one that offers seven stars and is also the
most expensive hotel in the world. Its 180 metres high
atrium welcomes visitors with splendid fountains and
colours effects. The Burj Al Arab has established a new
standard for superlatives used to describe hospitality,
with its restaurant-aquarium connected to the
entrance hall by a glazed underwater passageway, its
Rolls Royce park in the front yard and its famous
heliport which saw many celebrities come and go. The
hotel has 202 suites spread over 27 floors. Each suite,
including the smallest one (170 metres square)
inspires luxury. From the marble to the golden furniture,
everything is designed to dazzle.

Spectacular, especially at night, and famous
worldwide since the fourties when traders and
entrepreneurs from India and Iran settled in this part
of the town, Dubaï’s gold market is the reason why
many people choose to spend their vacation in Dubaï.
With its numerous shops, its wide variety of products
and its extremely reasonable prices, Dubaï is the best
destination for jewelry lovers. The window displays
are filled with bracelets, necklaces, rings, diamonds,
emeralds, rubies, sapphires, etc. Gold Souk is
therefore one of the most visited places in the Middle
East. Dubaï’s malls, famous complexes housing the
most beautiful boutiques, are also worth a visit.
The mosques
Dubaï’s most important mosque is the Great Mosque
whose minaret reaches 70 metres. However the most
visited remains the Jumeirah Mosque, open to all
faiths and entirely built of white stone according to
the Fatimid tradition, it is one of the most beautiful
monuments in Dubaï. It has a large central dome surrounded by two imposing minarets and it can accommodate up to 1 200 believers. Illuminated at night, its
refined art and its true beauty are revealed.
Safari in the desert
Located 45 minutes away from Dubaï, the desert
looks like a lunar world with its spectacular and enchanting landscapes. A desert of red sand, perfect
for an unprecedented experience. Safaris remain
one of the favorite activities available in the city.
Constantly under construction, bustling with energy,
Dubaï is the kind of city that never stops. Its economy is based on tourism and, thanks to its international spirit, it is one of the most cosmopolitan cities
in the world with more than 140 nationalities. Dubaï
embodies the new Arab dream, a true crossroads
between the East and the West. I
