Paul Klee, l’ironie à l’œuvre
Le Centre Pompidou propose une nouvelle traversée de l’œuvre de l’un des artistes les plus emblématiques
du XXème siècle, figure singulière de la modernité : Paul Klee. Il s’agit de la première rétrospective importante présentée en France depuis l’exposition de 1969 au Musée national d’art moderne. Celle-ci met en
évidence l’ironie artistique de Paul Klee puisée dans le premier romantisme allemand.
Cet événement rassemble pas moins de 250 œuvres qui mettent en lumière l’évolution artistique du célèbre
peintre, de ses débuts satiriques aux années de crise marquées par la politique nazie, la guerre et la maladie. I

The Centre Pompidou offers a new crossing of the work of one of the 20th Century's most iconic artists, and a singular figure
in modernity: Paul Klee. This is the first major retrospective presented in France since the 1969 exhibition at the Musée National
d'Art Moderne. This highlights the artistic irony of Paul Klee drawn from the first German Romanticism.
This thematic retrospective brings together around 250 works which highlight the artistic evolution of the famous painter, from his
satirical debuts to the crisis years marked by the Nazi policy, war and disease. I From April 6 till August 1, 2016
