On the day he proposed, Mike Wehmeyer
spent the whole day outside in the cold
putting up Christmas lights. When he finally
finished, he asked Latrica to come outside
and see them. “The sky was so clear that you
could see all of the stars. The whole front of
the house was lit up with the lights. I turned
around to find him on one knee holding up a
ring. The diamond sparkled with reflections
of all of the lights. He asked me to be his
wife, and I gladly accepted,” Latrica said.
Mike said when they first met, he thought
Latrica was good lucking and shy. They
worked at the same employer for a few years
before they even spoke. When they spoke
for the first time, he was shocked by how
intriguing she was and couldn’t stop thinking
about her. He loved her strong spirit, and felt
she was very caring, and definitely unique
(and cute). “I had to have her by my side for
eternity,” Mike said.
Latrica can’t wait to see Mike standing at the
altar waiting for her, and Mike is excited to
put the ring on her finger and celebrate with
God, family, and friends.
