GAZELLE WEST Vol. 1, Issue 2 | Page 4

GAZELLE WEST PUBLISHER’S NOTE Welcome to spring Gazelle readers. After such a particularly harsh winter (OK, not Boston hard), I for one am ready to spring forward, start anew, and watch the daffodils bloom in my garden. I always remind myself that this is the time of year for me to begin everything with a fresh, clean slate. I hope you are as excited as I am to start what can and should be the new 2015 version of YOU! As I write this editor’s note I have a chuckle to myself as the guy writing as editorin-chief for a women’s publication - about and focused on inspiring women. Then I have a look around at my world, and I notice that I am surrounded by mostly women. Four daughters, one wife, 20-plus female employees, in a salon and spa that has a 70 percent female clientele does not make me (or any guy) an expert on women. But maybe, just maybe, it might give me some insight as to how truly remarkable each of you are. I hope that our stories about local ladies making a difference, and celebrities like Jane Fonda inspire you, and our fashion and swimsuit spreads will encourage you to wipe your slate clean and empower you to be the best you can be FOR YOU every day this year. So start that cleansing process now, take three deep breaths, grab a cup of “joe,” or a glass of wine, sit down and take some time for you and enjoy the latest issue of Gazelle W est. 4 Cary O'Brien Cary O’Brien Editor-in-Chief GAZELLE WEST
