According to a recent study, more than one third of men, and almost half of women admitted buying shoes that didn’t fit properly. Whether shoes are too big or too small, they can hurt your feet and even cause permanent damage. Shoes that are too large do not provide the proper protection and support for your feet. Likewise, those that are too tight or too narrow can push your toes out of their normal positions, resulting in bunions. Other complications associated with shoes that are too small are blisters, hammer toes, calluses, athlete’s foot and heel pain.
