Pharmacist
I am a pharmacist and a single mother of two beautiful young
girls, aged 12 and 9. Despite the chaos of managing a busy
pharmacy department and a busy home, I still make time to
be active and healthy.
My days begin at 4:32 a.m. (yes, those two extra minutes
count), with a minimum of five miles (often more) on the
pavement. Running is my passion. Those early morning
runs under the stars give me the energy and drive to be a
better mother and leader. I have learned to keep a positive
attitude and that children notice everything. When you are
happy, they are happy. When you are sad, they are sad. Many
have called me an inspiration. But my little girls inspire me,
because no matter how much I think I may have screwed up,
I am always a hero in their eyes. And that is what drives me to
ignore that snooze button.
