Rising Stars in Art
Women continue to make a statement in the art world,
breaking the gender barriers on a global scale. And of
course, with St. Louis’ thriving arts and entertainment
scene, galleries like the Central West End’s Atrium
Gallery are displaying the works of many innovative,
contemporary female artists.
The star qualities of some of those talented women are
evident in the pieces currently on display in the Women
in the Atrium exhibit, showcasing art by females from
around the country and in fact, the world, all with work in
numerous major museums. The exhibit consists of works
in a wide variety of media – photographs, sculptural works
of handmade paper, sculpture, fiber works, paintings,
artist books and pastels.
