I founded Ava’s Grace Scholarship Foundation in March 2010
following an eye-opening and tragic experience with the American
justice system, which included the arrest and four-year incarceration
of my mom. While visiting her in prison, I met children whose lives
were irrevocably changed as a result of the mistakes of their parents
and a broken system, and who were forced to sacrifice their dreams
of higher education. My vision is to break the cycle of incarceration
through the gift of higher education - one child at a time.
