HER FEARS
I was afraid because I didn’t have a business background. A friend of mine told me about the Grace Hill
Women’s Business Center. In 2011, I took a class for
starting a business, then applied all the information
that I obtained. I registered my business name and
then just went for it.
MOTIVATION
What keeps me motivated are the greats who came
before me and never gave up. God gave me this talent, so giving up is not an option. Fashion is forever
evolving, and I'm motivated by the newness of it all.
It really excites me when I create a new piece made
from nothing. I'm also motivated by the fact that I
want to leave an everlasting legacy for my children
and my childrens' children and so on. Failure can
happen, but if you give up, you will never know how
far you could have gone.
INSPIRATION
What gives me inspiration to create? Literally everything! I remember being in a store with my husband,
just walking among the isles when something caught
my eye, and he said, "Now what are you going to do
with those?" and I said, "Make a necklace, of course!"
He just shook his head and we kept walking, but it’s
moments like that when the piece speaks to me and
tells me what it needs to be.
GOALS
My goal is to be doing my business full time within
the next two years, connecting with different boutiques, stores, and private buyers who would like me
to create for them on a regular basis across the U.S.
and abroad. My goal is to eventually leave my day
job and enjoy what I love the most...making beautiful
things.

ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS
Don't quit your day job yet if you have one! Please do
your homework! Study your craft! Learn who your
customer is. Make sure you have the stamina for the
long haul, because being an entrepreneur is not
easy. Do it because you love it, because in the beginning, it’s all a labor of love. The return comes later.
