As Gazelle’s publisher and editor-in-chief, Cillah Hall’s vision is to have
a local publication that speaks to and inspires women. “We all have national magazines that we turn to, but I wanted a publication for and about
women in our community,” Cillah explained. She came up with the idea
for the magazine as a means of providing content to help women feel
empowered no matter what their challenges. “I want women to feel uplifted and feel a sense of self-confidence. I want them to know that they can overcome life’s
circumstances. I want to help provide them a roadmap that leads to living a better life,”
she said.
When she feels and believes in something, she goes with her intuition, she
trusts her “gut.” “It has always surprised me how women can have such powerful
intuitive wisdom, and still not trust it,” she observed. She outlines a plan, but
doesn’t dwell on too much planning because she knows it risks scaring herself out
of moving forward. “I believed this magazine would work, and now we have an
amazing group of professionals that have come together to help make it happen.
Because I believed, they have rallied around me, contributing their talents, filling
in the missing pieces, fixing the problems that weren’t in the plan.” she said.
“You can always reinvent yourself. The only thing that stops me (or anyone)
is having a vision, being willing to believe, and being willing to give it a try.”
