GAZELLE
hope you are having as much fun with my publisher’s photos as I
am. I could have the traditional headshot, with a big inspirational
article about how the flowers are blooming, how wonderful St.
Louis is, or how lovely it is that we have such beautiful parks.
But you know what? That’s just not who I am.
Yes, St. Louis is wonderful. And I love it when flowers are in bloom,
and I absolutely love our parks. However, I prefer to use this space any
way I want to, and since I am a Sagittarius - a quintessential free spirit,
with a spur of the moment sort of personality - I want to have fun. I
want to say something inspiring only when I feel it in my soul. And of
course, I want to use photos from events I attend as much as possible.
For this edition, I am excited by St. Louisans who love fashion! Have
you noticed that we now feature full-length photos in our See and Be
Seen section? Well, as a woman who puts some thought into how I
dress for events, I figured you probably do, too. As the old saying goes,
“If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a
sound?” The modern version of that is, “If it is not posted on Facebook,
did it really happen?” At Gazelle, the new mantra is, “If you dressed like
the star that you are at an event, but nobody saw or noticed your outfit,
did you really dress like a star?”
This month, we are thrilled to spotlight those St. Louis fashion stars
who keep us excited. We notice the effort you put into presenting your
best self to the world. Thank you! I think there are three things that
make the world so much more interesting: art, music and fashion.
Through fashion, Gazelle hopes to bring some joy into your life.
Enjoy our list of St. Louisans with Style. Feel inspired, get excited, agree
or disagree with our editors’ choices, but nonetheless, feel!
