The Bard’s “King Lear” is the basis for this year’s free, nightly production
from Shakespeare Festival St. Louis. Titled, “Blow, Winds,” it was
created by area playwright Nancy Bell to engage the entire city and its
residents in reflecting on what it means to be a St. Louisan today. The
citywide celebration takes place on the streets in front of the library.

together for one weekend along Restaurant Row, the event’s crown
jewel. There is also a culinary stage for top local chefs to compete in
the Stella Artois Chef Battle Royale, as well as a marketplace, children’s
