ixta, Ben Poremba’s vibrant cocina in the St. Louis Botanical Heights
neighborhood, is one of Bon Appétit’s “America’s Best New Restaurants
2017.” The culinary publication praised Nixta for its “ambitious cooking that
combines bold flavors from various regions of Mexico with stellar ingredients,”
and for channeling the vibe of “that cool, colorful, always lively restaurant that
everyone talks about in Oaxaca (Mexico), except it is in St. Louis.”
We told you so! In Gazelle STL’s March 2017 edition, we singled out Nixta in our “Meet
Me” neighborhood feature as “unlike any place in town – pulsating and lively, with a spirit of its
own.” Congratulations to Chef Poremba and his team!
