When “Meet Me in St. Louis” opens on the Muny stage later this
summer, there’ll be a few new tunes joining beloved classics such as
“The Trolley Song,” “The Boy Next Door” and “Have Yourself
a Merry Little Christmas.” Veteran Broadway
director and writer Gordon Greenberg is
revising the production - on the Muny
stage for the eighth time. New songs
include “Boys and Girls Like You and
Me,” a song written by Rodgers &
Hammerstein for “Oklahoma!”

verything’s coming up rosé this month. That’s the
idea behind Rosé Day in St. Louis, a fundraising event
that brings together local organizations that work to
empower women in the community. The annual festival,
held every third Saturday in May, celebrates the arrival
of summer, as well as the pink-hued wine that’s become a staple for
warmer months.
This year’s event takes place from noon to 6 p.m. on May 19, in
the Central West End. Festival-goers will be treated to 10 rosé wine-
tasting stations throughout the neighborhood, as well as live music,
shopping, street artists and other fun activities. In addition, CWE
boutiques and restaurants will be offering sidewalk deals along the
festival path, which begins at Maryland Plaza.
Tickets for the event are $35, and include a “walkable” wine glass,
a “passport” and map to the tasting stations. Proceeds benefit the
nonprofit Fifty Roses Foundation, raising funds and awareness for
organizations such as Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis Women
Build, Safe Connections, Lydia’s House, Planned Parenthood of
Southeast Missouri, Sista Strut, Center for Women in Transition,
Crisis Nursery, Hawthorne Leadership School for Girls, Magdalene
St. Louis and St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness. For tickets and
