LOVE & ROMANCE TELL US ABOUT THE WEDDING DRESS Rebekah: Since I was little, I had always imagined having a very simple, yet elegant dress. What made my dress even better was that while we were at the shop, the worker was showing me all types of dresses, which were a little too ornate for me, but my mom was looking around by herself in the store, and she found the perfect dress. WHAT WAS UNIQUE ABOUT YOUR WEDDING? We met on an international mission trip, and had gone on another together while we were dating - we love to travel together. For our wedding and reception, we decided to have a vintage travel theme. We had decorations of vintage suitcases and globes, and we made arrows with destinations of places that we had been together as a couple. 32 GAZELLE WHAT WERE YOUR FAVORITE MOMENTS FROM YOUR WEDDING DAY? Rebekah: My favorite part of the wedding was having all of our friends and family together in one area to celebrate. The weather was beyond perfect for our day. Another favorite part was seeing Josh at the altar.  Josh: My favorite part was seeing her for the first time that day, ready to walk down the aisle. WHAT DO YOU CHERISH MOST ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP? Rebekah: I cherish that we get to spend every day with each other. Josh: That we get to grow together, travel, experience new things together, and have each other for love and support. HOW I KNEW THIS PERSON WAS THE ONE Rebekah: While we both lived in Murray, we had the opportunity to get to know one another. After I graduated, we decided to try long distance. It was then that I realized he would be the one. Josh: After we started dating long distance, I couldn’t imagine li ving the rest of my life without her. Crown Candy Kitchen, an historical diner that has been part of the city for over 100 years. We stopped by and shared a strawberry malt shake. Our next stop was the Science Center. Then, we had dinner at a nice restaurant. Our last stop was the Missouri Botanical Garden. During the holiday season, the garden has a light show, which is something that we wanted to see. While walking around and looking at the lights, Josh found a secluded area that was set up as a picture spot. I love pictures - and little did I know, instead of taking a picture, he knelt on one knee and proposed. He had asked my mom to meet us there so that she could videotape the proposal because she knew I would want a picture or video.
